Ask a forwarder for a freight rate with the cargo details it needs. The emails are in English, the usual language of international trade. Nothing you type is sent to Triplicate.

Tips for this email

  1. Give the forwarder everything it needs to price: ports or addresses, Incoterm, cartons, weight, volume, cargo ready date and whether the goods are dangerous.
  2. Ask for all charges (origin, freight and destination) and the free time, so that you can compare quotes.
  3. Ask how long the rate is valid: freight rates change often.
