Common questions
What is HS code 6903?
6903 is the HS 2022 heading for Ceramic goods; (e.g. retorts, crucibles, muffles, nozzles, plugs, supports cupels, tubes, pipes, sheaths, rods and slide gates) excluding those of siliceous fossil meals or of similar siliceous earths. It is in chapter 69 (Ceramic products), section XIII, and has 3 six-digit subheadings, from 6903.10 to 6903.90.
Can I write 6903 on a commercial invoice?
Customs usually need at least the 6-digit subheading (for example 6903.10), and the import declaration uses the destination country’s full code of 8 to 10 digits. Use the subheading that matches your product, and confirm the national digits with the buyer, the customs broker or the official tariff.
